PLC Public Sector reports:
We are currently deciding our publishing priorities for 2012/13 and want to give our subscribers the opportunity to suggest what our priorities for new public procurement content should be.
Also if you think there are any areas where our public procurement content could be improved, please let us know.
Since our launch in November 2008, we have published a wide range of new materials on public procurement, for details see our new content list. These materials are in addition to our current awareness updates on the latest legislative developments, case law and guidance, which are brought to you in conjunction with PLC Competition.
Already in the pipeline and to be published shortly we have:
- A precedent agreement for use in local authority shared services projects.
- A framework agreement for the purchase of services.
- Four procurement planners.
- Guidance on soft market testing and a precedent questionnaire.
Ideas we are currently considering for new content include:
- Precedents for the purchase of goods by public authorities (both standard and framework agreements).
- A short form agreement for the purchase of services by public authorities.
- Further guidance on the evaluation of tenders.
- Standard wording to be used in an application to lift the automatic suspension of a contract award decision.
However, our publishing priorities are led by what our subscribers want, so we are now giving you the opportunity to contribute to our content planning process. What do you want to see from us in the forthcoming months? Further practice notes or checklists providing guidance on the legislation, case law and government guidance? If so, on what subjects? Or would you prefer for us to provide more precedent documents? Again, if this is the case please let us know exactly what documents we should be prioritising.
We have also tried to be innovative in the way that we provide access to our existing content, publishing:
- “Ask the team” pieces, sharing our views on queries from our subscribers.
- A case tracker.
- Various case studies and toolkits.
We have also launched a dedicated procurement Twitter feed: PLC Procurement. However, if there are any ways that you think our information on public procurement could be better delivered, do please let us know.
